Curriculum vitae
He graduated from Ankara University School of Law in 1986. At the same year, initiated as a research assistant at Gazi University. Then, h terminated his master program with his thesis regarding Miners Legal Liabilities in 1988 at Ankara University Social Science Institute Private Law Department. Afterwards, succeeded at associate professor exam in 2002 and acquired the title of Law Associate Professor
He performed the duty of Vice President of the Intellectual Rights Commission of 9th Development Plan of State Planning Organization between 2006-2007.
He has been promoted to Commercial Law Professor at Beykent University in 2007. Between 2007-2016, he has lectured the Commercial and Mining Law lectures at Beykent University School of Law, Commercial Law Department. In addition to that he has lectured Mining Law lessons for three years at İstanbul University Faculty of Engineering.
Currently, he has been performing the duty of being head of Commercial Law Department at Özyeğin University School of Law.
Prof. TOPALOĞLU has been performing some duties at non-governmental organizations related to mining sector, also is a member of İstanbul Young Miners Association and at Board of Trustees and Consulting Board of Mining Development Foundation of Turkey. Especially, has attended several national and international summits regarding Commercial and Mining Law and at the same time occupied at the Mining Law secondary regulations studies. In addition, he is a member of PDAC(Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada). In addition to his private practice, he serves as an arbitrator and chair of the arbitral tribunal in mining and commercial arbitration cases. He has taught Mining Law courses at Çukurova University, Istanbul University, and Özyeğin University. He has published numerous articles and books on Mining Law and has presented at many national and international academic conferences. He has participated in legislative work related to the Mining Law, the Geothermal Law, and their secondary regulations. He is a professional member of YERMAM, a member of GEMAD, and a member of the board of trustees of the Foundation for the Development of Domestic Mining. He is a member of the board of directors of the ATEM Mediation and Arbitration Center. He serves as a presiding arbitrator and arbitrator in national and international ad hoc arbitration cases at the Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC), the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Center (ITOTAM), and in ad hoc (ad hoc) proceedings. At ISTAC, he has been appointed as a General Assembly member and Advisory Board member representing TOBB, as well as Chair of the Digital Transformation Commission. He serves as an instructor and consultant at the Ministry of Trade’s Registry Academy. He has served as a Commercial Law Expert on the Scientific Board established by the Ministry of Justice. Prof. Dr. Mustafa TOPALOĞLU has authored books and articles on Commercial Law, Information Technology Law, Banking Law, Arbitration, Intellectual and Industrial Property, Administrative Law, Civil Law, Contract Law, and Mining and Energy Law.
