Curriculum vitae
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Yeditepe University in 2019. After completing his legal internship in 2020, he has been practicing as an independent attorney at Topaloğlu Law Firm, where he is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, since 2021. Topaloğlu Law Firm, where he practices law, specializes in arbitration, commercial law, information technology law, intellectual and industrial property law, as well as mining and energy law.
İsmail TOPALOĞLU began a thesis-based master’s program in private law at the Institute of Social Sciences at Özyeğin University and successfully completed the program in 2024 with his thesis titled “Arbitration in Blockchain Systems.” He has published a book titled “Decentralized Arbitration: Blockchain-Based Dispute Resolution.”
His articles on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and IT law have been published in the Adana Chamber of Commerce Journal. He has presented papers and given presentations on cryptocurrency and IT law at symposia organized by the Hatay Bar Association and the Adana Bar Association. His articles on mining law have been published in the Sektörmaden Journal and the Journal of the Turkish Miners’ Association. He has authored various articles in the fields of commercial law, information technology law, and mining and energy law.
He has served as an assistant arbitrator in arbitration cases heard at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Mediation Center and the Istanbul Arbitration Center. He has also served as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings at the Istanbul Arbitration Center.
